There is NOTHING like picking fruit for a quick snack WHILE on a hike. (esp when it’s tropical fruit on a volcano hike)
One last day in Volcano, exploring the vast vast landscape of lava. 🌋
Hanging out in the banyan trees between exploring waterfalls and lava tubes — we had a swift and unceremonious ending to our volunteering stint at the orchid farm but have found the absolute best best Airbnb + hosts we could have imagined. The entire landscape / popular tourist destinations on this side of the island changed drastically after the lava flow last year, but it’s all much easier to navigate with hosts who have the real lay of the land.
You can pay a bunch of money to participate in goat yoga, but also I guess there are goat farms that first and foremost sell goat cheese and second, let the goats jump on your back as soon as you kneel down (and also eat your hair if you don’t pay close enough attention.) (zoom in for 🐐 hair + snack)
